Ingredients
Method
- Gather your blues and prepare your workspace. Lay out parchment on a flat tray and arrange crayons by tone.
- Create shavings by running a peeler along a crayon or use a box grater.
- Cut two pieces of parchment paper slightly larger than your intended shape.
- Scatter a thin, even layer of shavings on one piece of parchment.
- If using contact paper, lay the sticky side up and sprinkle shavings directly on it.
- For the iron method, place the second sheet of parchment on top and press gently.
- If using the oven, preheat to 250°F and watch through the oven window.
- Allow the wax to cool a moment so it firms slightly but stays pliable.
- Add string or a small hole for hanging.
- Hang in a sunny window and watch the blues deepen and float with incoming light.
