  • Glass beads in various sizes and colors
  • Strong nylon beading thread or flexible jewelry wire
  • Small embroidery needle optional
  • Necklace clasp or small metal ring optional
  • Scissors or wire cutters
  • Round-nose pliers if using wire
  • Small bead tray or shallow dish
  • Clear fishing line or thin ribbon
  • A small piece of felt or cloth
  • A towel or soft mat

Method
 

  1. Choose your bead palette and lay the beads on a soft cloth.
  2. Take three slow breaths and notice which colors draw you in.
  3. Arrange them in loose rows until the mix feels right.
  4. Cut your thread or wire to length, leaving extra for tying.
  5. Secure one end with a temporary knot or a small bead stopper.
  6. Thread beads in your chosen order, one at a time.
  7. Test the curve or pattern by holding the piece to the light.
  8. Finish the end with a secure knot or crimp bead.
  9. Add a hanging loop or clasp for the suncatcher.
  10. Hang the suncatcher near a sunny window and watch the light.
  11. Enjoy small adjustments over time, adding beads or changing spacing as desired.

Notes

Keep your suncatcher away from areas where it might tangle or break. Clean gently with a soft cloth and check knots regularly.
