Super Bouncy Balls

A simple and fun craft to make bouncy balls at home with kids using glue, borax, water, and cornstarch.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon white school glue PVA glue
  • 1/2 teaspoon borax powder
  • 3 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Food coloring any color
  • Disposable cup and spoon or popsicle stick for stirring
  • Plastic gloves optional, for easy cleanup
  • Zip-top bag or airtight container for storage

Method
 

  1. In a disposable cup, mix 1 tablespoon of white school glue with 3 tablespoons of warm water. Whisk to combine.
  2. Dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of borax powder in a splash of warm water in a separate cup.
  3. Pour the borax solution into the glue mixture slowly while stirring continuously.
  4. Add in the cornstarch and mix until smooth.
  5. Add food coloring and mix until desired color is achieved.
  6. Knead the mixture until it forms a ball, adjusting with borax or warm water as necessary.
  7. Store the bouncy balls in a zip-top bag or airtight container.

Notes

Wear gloves for easier cleanup and work on a non-stick surface. Adjust the texture by adding cornstarch or warm water as needed.
